Dual-Modal Hybrid Control for an Upper-Limb Rehabilitation Robot

چکیده
The recovery treatment of motor dysfunction plays a crucial role in rehabilitation therapy. Rehabilitation robots are partially or fully replacing therapists assisting patients exercise by advantage robot technologies. However, the training system is not yet intelligent enough to provide suitable modes based on intentions with different abilities. In this paper, dual-modal hybrid self-switching control strategy (DHSS) proposed automatically determine mode patients, i.e., passive and assistive mode. strategy, potential field method ADRC position employed plan trajectories assist patients’ training. Dual-modal rules impulse information presented identify Finally, DHSS assisted five subjects performing an average deviation error less than 2 mm both modes. experimental results demonstrate that muscle activation differed significantly It also verifies reasonable effective, which helps train independently without therapists.

Safety Supervisory Strategy for an Upper-Limb Rehabilitation Robot Based on Impedance Control
User security is an important consideration for robots that interact with humans, especially for upper‐limb rehabilitation robots, during the use of which stroke patients are often more susceptible to injury. In this paper, a novel safety supervisory control method incorporating fuzzy logic is proposed so as to guarantee the impaired limb’s safety should an emergency situatio...
متن کاملNovel Dynamic Interpolation Strategy for Upper-Limb Rehabilitation Robot
Focusing on providing stable and smooth robot-assisted exercises, this paper proposes a novel dynamic interpolation strategy to improve the robot movement performances. During the robot-assisted exercise, the designed control system dynamically employs appropriate interpolation method according to the physical state of the training impaired limb (PSTIL). The remarkable feature of this strategy ...
متن کاملRobot aided therapy: challenges ahead for upper limb stroke rehabilitation
People who have been discharged from hospital following a stroke still have a potential to continue their recovery by doing therapy at home. Unfortunately it is difficult to exercise a stroke affected arm correctly and many people simply resort to using their good arm for most activities. This strategy makes many tasks difficult and any tasks requiring two hands become nearly impossible. The us...

Need to develop human body’s posture supervised robots, gave the push to researchers to think over dexterous design of exoskeleton robots. It requires to develop quantitative techniques to assess human motor function and generate the command to assist in compliance with complex human motion. Upper limb rehabilitation robots, are one of those robots. These robots are used for the rehabilitation ...
